“The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD…” Psalm 37:23
Lord, You order my steps; not hour by hour, day by day, week by week or year by year, but step by step. Thank You! Lord, You walk beside me. When my steps wind through dangerous places, I am not alone. Lord, You hold my hand. When my grandchildren and I walk somewhere, I love to hold hands with them; it’s so comforting. Thank You for holding my hand. Lord, when I walk with You I walk in light, because You are Light. In You is no darkness at all. When I walk with You, we have fellowship. Whether we speak or walk in silence there is communication between us. When I come to a valley, even the valley of death, You are with me and I am never alone. You light my path with just enough light for the next step, never a mile ahead. But even then I’m safe because You are holding my hand and walking beside me. The path you lead me to may not be the path I would choose, but it is the best path for me. Help me to resist the temptation to run ahead, or to lag behind.
God holds my hand
To walk with Him is sweet
I find in Him a life that is complete
And when His will I do not understand
I can but pray.
Do not let go my hand.
