“Mary…sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word.” Luke 10:39

When Jesus visited the home of Mary and Martha, Mary took time to sit at His feet while Martha was in the kitchen, frustrated with the meal preparation for her honored guest. She did not have time to sit at Jesus’ feet. Jesus said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are careful and troubled about many times, but Mary has chosen the good part.”

We need to sit at Jesus feet to become the woman God intends us to be. Being a Christian is not a religion; it is a relationship with Jesus Christ. Sitting at Jesus’ feet is more than gaining knowledge, it’s communing with God, learning to know Him as a personal friend.

Sitting at His feet washes us clean. Throughout the day our minds get dirty because we live in sin-stained world, rub shoulder with the un-godly, and are influenced by the media. John 15:3 says, “Now ye are clean through the word.” Meditating on God’s word washes us clean.
Sitting at Jesus’ feet brings Spiritual restoration and refreshment.

As we respond to the needs around us, we become emotionally and spiritually depleted. In God’s presence we become refreshed and restored. “The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart.” Psalm 19:8

Sit at Jesus feet for instruction. We need God’s wisdom to live righteously, honor our husbands, raise godly children, prioritize demands, and please Him. “The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.” Psalm 19:7

Quiet yourself , sit at Jesus’ feet and commune with Him today. There is Joy in His Presence.
