“…So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground.” Mark 4:26
Last fall when I went to our local greenhouse to purchase a few mums and kale and I noticed what were called “winter” pansies. Their description tag noted: extremely hearty; will survive the winter; blooms in early spring. We planted them along with the mums and kale. They bloomed late into the fall. Their leaves later wilted from the heavy frost. Snow came and blanketed the plants. I was anxious. Would they survive the harsh weather, cold temperatures? With early March came warm sunshine. Their leaves turned green and buds formed. My winter pansies are blooming!
Are you going through a winter season in your life where the weather is harsh, the temperatures cold, and the nights long? All strength seems to be taken from your body and you cling to life by the roots. Sister, don’t despair, He’s building His Kingdom in you. Springtime will come. You will bring forth bud and blossom.
Keep your roots deep in Christ – endure hardness and bloom!
